What is a Descendent report?
A descendent report is a visual representation of a family tree that focuses on the descendants of a particular individual. Unlike traditional family trees that typically start from a common ancestor and branch out to encompass all descendants, descendant charts trace lineage downwards from one or more starting individuals.
How to create a Descendent report?
- Click on the “Reports” menu and select “Descendent report”
- The descendent report will be generated for the root member.
- If you want to see the descendants of another member in the tree, set that person as the root person and generate the report.
Change the number of generations
The report will normally display up to four generations. However, you can change the number of generations as follows:
- Click on the Tools button option from the side menu
- Change the required number of generations from the “Number of generations” dropdown menu.
- Click on Save.
- The report will regenerate with the new settings.

How to print or get a PDF of the report
Members can print this report or save it as a PDF. Follow these steps:
- Click on the Publish button from the side menu
- In the popup window, you can change the report name if desired.
- You can also select whether you need a header for the report.
- Click on Publish.
- The report will be generated on the report panel page. You may need to wait a few seconds for the report to fully generate.
- Once the report is generated, you can download it.
